Tips For Six Ways To Use Your Waterpik Flosser More Effectively

[ad_1]

In this article I am not recommending or selling any product. My intention is to provide helpful information for the effective use of water flossing tips and tools.

First off, if you have a water flossing tool and you use it regularly you are ahead of the game in dental hygiene. Knowing what parts are available and what their uses are is another big step forward in benefiting from the use of water jet style flossers..

For the purpose of this article I will refer to the accessory parts for the Waterpik flossers.

The Basic All Purpose Tip

The basic tip for getting the food particles out from between your teeth and for cleaning and energizing blood and oxygen flow at the gum line is the Classic Jet Tip.

You can use this tip with various Waterpik models.

For really getting at tight spots in between your teeth use the Classic high pressure tip.

This is like the regular classic tip except that you get a higher pressure jet of water. You can get much better results than when using regular string floss.

For Dentures and Braces

If you have dentures or braces there is a tip for you. The Orthodontic Tip works great for knocking down the plaque that can be a problem with dentures and braces. This tip also helps to improve gum health.

Getting Into Those Pockets

The Pik Pocket tip is designed for purging and cleaning periodontal pockets along with furcations around your gums. This tip is gentle so you can carefully and gently get under the gums.

Try the ToothBrush Tip

You will still want to brush your teeth so there is the toothbrush tip that allows you to brush your teeth and water floss your teeth at the same time. This action polishs and scrubs for brighter and whiter teeth.

Getting Rid of Plaque

The Plaque Seeker is exactly what it sounds like. A tip to remove unwanted plaque around and on your teeth. With three brush heads you can really make progress, especially around restorative devices like braces that can be hard to clean.

Cleaning Your Tongue

This may not occur to you as important but it turns out that bacteria can buildup especially in the back of your tongue and cause you to have bad breath. The tongue cleaner tip takes care of this problem. You use the spoon like tip with the water jet to eliminate the bacteria. Bad breath is never welcome.

All of these tips and other accessories that can be used with the Waterpik style flossers.

They add to the effective action you can take to keep your teeth clean and keep the dentist away. Getting up to speed on the different functions of these tips makes the use of a water flosser far more versatile.

I have my own testimonial story about using a specific tip to deal with a specific dental cleaning challenge that I have. I have a wisdom tooth that never broke through the gum. It’s just sitting there under the gum. A pocket or channel developed between this wisdom tooth and the molar next to it. It’s impossible to clean out the pocket with standard string floss or tooth picks etc. The only way to get the food particles out and keep from getting infections is with a pocket style tip on my water flosser. I mix up a combination of hydrogen peroxide and warm water and flush out the deep pocket. Works like a charm.

Using the correct tip on your water flossing machine can really improve your general oral health.
